In the spring semester of 2019, Irfana Majumdar and Gaurav Saini were awarded a Fulbright fellowship to be in residence at Ohio Northern University and direct the theatre department’s International Play Festival: India. They chose to direct Hayavadana, by Girish Karnad, using a classical Sanskrit style, Hindustani music, and Kathak.
The play was performed from February 21-24, 2019 at the Freed Center for Performing Arts.
